Heaven's Helping Hands

Heaven’s Helping Hands mission is to be the hands and feet of Christ, helping those in need within our congregation, community, nation, and world. This is accomplished through 12 different ministry projects. Each month we focus on one of those areas. To view summaries of all the ministry projects this team coordinates please see our church Web site.

International Missions

  • Tanzania & Jamaica

Meal ministry

  • When someone has had a serious accident or illness or another need of this ministry, Holy Trinity has volunteers who are available to prepare and deliver meals to a family's home while a family member is in the hospital or home recuperating.

Minnesota Food Share

  • Nonperishables are collected from members and delivered to the Peace Center in New Prague.

School Supplies

  • In August the congregation donates school supplies, which are then divided up between the three elementary schools and the middle school in the New Prague school district for children in need.

Weekly mailings

  • Mailings are sent out each week to shut-ins or people who are not able to attend worship services on a regular basis.

The Giving Tree

  • At Christmas time the congregation has the opportunity to pick a tag off a Christmas tree and purchase/donate the suggested gift that is listed on their tag. The tag also lists if it is for a boy/girl/woman or man and the age of the child. The church receives a list of names and their gift requests from county agencies who have verified the families in need. The presents then get wrapped and delivered in time for Christmas.

Annual "Used a Bit" Garage Sale

  • In late August the Women's Sewing Group along with other members of Holy Trinity host a "Used a Bit" garage sale. The sale supports international, national, and local missions.  The proceeds have gone to many places, such as Tanzania, Jamaica, Louisiana, and places of need in Minnesota, as well as helping local families in need. In addition, care packages have also been sent to our soldiers throughout the world.

Women's Sewing Club

  • The sewing club meets twice a month to make quilts and other items. The quilts are given to those in need, and have been donated to organizations such as Lutheran Social Services, women's shelters, and folks in need in our community, to name a few. Quilts were also brought on the mission trip to Mississippi. The sewing group meets on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month at 1:00 p.m. in room 205.
