Strategic Envisioning Results
The Strategic Envisioning Plan was developed based on the work of a team of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church staff and members and facilitated by Pat Gilbert of Kingdom Focus Consulting, LLC. The work took place from September, 2008 through April 2009 and is meant to serve as a guide for the following three to five years.
The results of the Spiritual Health Survey (Reveal) taken by the congregation in October, 2008 to gauge the spiritual health of congregation members and their expectations and level of satisfaction with Holy Trinity Lutheran Church
Interviews of community members were done by the team members in October, 2008 to understand the needs of the community and their perceptions of the church.
The Present Future DVDs – by Reggie McNeal, the DVDs provided insight on how the changing U.S. culture is impacting the church.
Results

Mission: The team affirmed the current mission of Invite, Equip and Send. Some wording was modified for clarity.
Vision: The vision is new and exciting. We believe it reflects God’s desire for the future of our church.
Values: The current acronym of PEBBLES was retained but changes were made for clarity and consistency with the Mission and Vision.
Kingdom Concept: We believe God has uniquely called Holy Trinity Lutheran Church to be a place of spiritual growth for all generations of New Prague and the surrounding area.
Strategic Initiatives:
- The Spiritual Health Survey conducted last fall gave us a clear picture of what the congregation expects from the church and where we can do a better job of meeting those expectations.
- The survey indicated that the congregation has a strong desire for spiritual growth and places a high priority on children’s ministry.
- We also learned that due to changes in American culture, fewer people are coming to church, so the church needs to be proactive in outreach to the community.
The four strategic initiatives, or Four Areas of Focus, that we will pursue to address these needs are:

Becoming a church that is deeply connected to our community. We seek to not just focus on our building and the programs within, but focus on living, demonstrating, and offering biblical community beyond our walls.
